We are excited to announce a new update to the Phonetizer web interface that makes your transcription workflow even smoother and safer: Autosave.
What’s New?
You no longer have to worry about manually clicking the “Save” button to preserve your work. Whether you are typing in the source box or fine-tuning the IPA result in the editor, Phonetizer now automatically saves your current history item for you.
How It Works
It’s simple and invisible:
- Automatic Sync: After you stop typing or finish an edit, Phonetizer waits for 2 seconds of inactivity and then automatically syncs your changes to the server.
- Visual Feedback: You’ll see a quick “Note updated” notification, letting you know your work is safe.
- Unsaved Indicator: The “Unsaved” badge in your history list will automatically disappear once the save is complete.
Why This Matters
We know how important your work is. Whether you are preparing lesson materials, practicing pronunciation, or working on a professional voice project, you can now focus entirely on the content without the distraction of manual saving. Even if you accidentally close your browser tab, your latest changes are likely already safe in your history.
This feature is available now for all registered users in the Mantine-based web frontend.
